First, Mother’s Day… I woke up and got to open my present right away…. a Starbucks gift card!! Then it was off to church. Grayson has been doing a great job in church. He doesn’t get too crazy which is nice. Then it was off to IHOP for some pancakes and butter pecan syrup- YUM!! After that we headed to the mall to do a little shopping. When we got home Grayson and I took a nap. Daddy grilled us steaks, we went for a walk and then headed to bed. It was a FANTASTIC DAY!!!
Every Friday around 6:00 the ice cream truck drives by our house. It is Grayson’s favorite time of the week… mostly because he gets to taste both mom and dad’s ice cream. We’ve been getting something different every week and so far Grayson likes them all!
Recently daddy got a new fishing boat- well new to him anyway. The boat was actually given to him by a guy down the street. It didn’t look too great when he got it, but he has been fixing it up, bought two seats for it, and so it turned out pretty good. I was able to find an infant life jacket so we thought we would take Grayson out on the water. It was a little scary (for mommy) but we did ok. I don’t think Grayson knew what to think about it. It did make him sleepy though.
Finally, just these last few weeks Grayson started to clap his hands by himself. I’ve been working on patty cake for a long time with him, and I guess he finally caught on himself. It’s fun to watch him learn those new things… he was very proud of himself!! We’re now working on waving “bye” when we leave the babysitter, and daddy is working on waving “hi” when he comes home from work! We’re still stuck on that “dada” sound… with a little baba mixed into… and some other indecipherable sounds that are still just as fun to listen too!

We have been enjoying the last 4 days with my parents who came out for a visit. We’ve been very busy, having tons of fun with Grayson!
