After our play date that day we went to Daddy’s office to take him out for lunch! The ladies LOVED seeing Grayson. And of course, he was his happy little self. He did a great job sitting at the table like a big boy.
Then it was the Fourth of July! Grayson stayed awake until the fireworks were over! He had a good time just lounging around waiting for it to get dark. There were a lot of people to watch so he was pretty content. He smiled and giggled at the fireworks… I was afraid he was going to be afraid, but he seemed to like them! We even got a few claps out of him. The next night we went to a little league baseball game. Again, he was a clapping fool! He really liked the excitement of the crowd… they really get into little league these days! As we were leaving, Daddy pointed out that it won’t be too long and we’ll be cheering on our own little leaguer.
We have also gone to the park to swing on the swings, and practice our pull ups.
PULL
UP!
This week we were able to go to the pool twice! Once with our mommy/baby group and another time with some of my friends from school. Grayson LOVED!!! the water!! This is a relief since mommy LOVES the water!! We had lots of fun swimming around like little fishies.
We have made quite a few trips to the library… as mommy has been using Grayson’s nap time to do some reading (of books that mostly do NOT rhyme). Don’t get me wrong, I sneak in a bit of shut eye once in a while… wouldn’t you?!?
As far as “tricks” go… Grayson can click his tongue, clap his hands, wave (hello and goodbye- on a good day), pull himself up in his pack and play and crib, and cry when you take something away or refuse to let him do something he so desperately wants to do (like go outside with the dogs). He can also “walk” if someone is holding his hands. And I almost forgot... he has two teeth!! The two on the bottom are here and visible!! They are still pretty "short" yet... but we're getting somewhere!
Our plane tickets are bought and we are heading to Iowa on July 21… we CAN’T WAIT!!!
This last picture was just way to0 cute of all my boys... Luke obviously has the ice cream...
